Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Merchandise/Retail Planning to oversee assortment planning, inventory management, and store-wise stock allocation. The role focuses on optimizing store performance through effective buying support, visual merchandising, and coordination with vendors for timely deliveries and replenishments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Merchandise Planning & Buying Support

  • Support assortment planning and product selection to meet market demand.
  • Assist in preparing purchase plans and provide buying recommendations.
  • Monitor product performance and recommend adjustments to optimize sales.

2. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Plan and manage inventory levels for all stores to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Allocate stock across stores based on sales trends, demand, and store performance.
  • Monitor daily sales reports and track inventory movement to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.

3. Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation

  • Ensure proper visual merchandising standards are maintained across all stores.
  • Coordinate with store teams to execute merchandising strategies effectively.

4. Vendor Coordination & Supply Chain

  • Liaise with vendors on order placements, delivery schedules, and timely replenishments.
  • Track supplier performance and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and analyze daily sales reports to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve sales performance and stock management.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion, Retail, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in merchandise/retail planning in the sports industry.
  • Strictly from the same field and experience with reputed brands is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under performance targets.
