Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all facility areas. The successful candidate will ensure that guest rooms, lobbies, corridors, and public spaces are always clean, safe, and welcoming. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of leading a team while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Oversight: Assign tasks to staff, ensure timely completion, and check work against hotel standards for hygiene.
  • Public Area Maintenance: Clean and sanitize lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and outdoor spaces.
  • Supply Management: Manage inventory for cleaning supplies and linens; replenish restroom essentials like soap and tissues.
  • Quality Control: Polish furniture, fixtures, and metallic fittings to maintain high aesthetic standards.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Operate cleaning machines (buffers, vacuums, scrubbers) and perform deep-cleaning tasks like carpet cleaning and window washing.
  • Safety & Compliance: Handle cleaning chemicals responsibly (MSDS compliance) and ensure staff adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Monitor and report issues such as faulty lighting, damaged fittings, or blocked drains.
  • Training & Evaluation: Train new staff and conduct performance evaluations to ensure service excellence.
  • Guest Relations: Handle guest complaints promptly and maintain professionalism during interactions.
  • Documentation: Record daily tasks, supply usage, and any incidents encountered during shifts.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping or public area maintenance.
  • Supervisory Background: Must have prior experience working as a supervisor in a busy hotel environment.
  • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Housekeeping, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
  • Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
