Sales Representative

Job Summary:
A leading mobile phone and accessories retail store in Nairobi is seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative. The successful candidate will deliver excellent in-store service, guide clients on product options, and consistently meet sales targets in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers in selecting mobile phones and accessories that meet their preferences and budget.
- Clearly explain product specifications such as RAM, battery life, storage, camera quality, and operating systems.
- Process transactions accurately through POS systems and M-Pesa, ensuring receipts are issued for all sales.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, price tags are accurate, and product displays are attractive and orderly.
- Stay informed on new product launches and market price trends to guide customer purchases effectively.
- Upsell accessories, including screen protectors, cases, earphones, and chargers, to increase revenue.
- Handle returns, complaints, and warranty claims professionally and escalate issues where necessary.
- Support stock control by participating in daily inventory checks and reporting fast-moving or low-stock items.
- Keep track of customer enquiries, walk-ins, and conversion rates.
- Participate in store promotions, activations, and marketing campaigns as scheduled.
- Maintain personal and store cleanliness, presentation, and professional conduct at all times.
- Continuously update product knowledge, offer terms, and warranty details to improve service delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years’ experience in mobile phone or electronics sales, preferably within Nairobi CBD or a mall setting.
- Familiarity with popular brands such as Samsung, Apple, Oppo, Vivo, Tecno, Infinix, and Xiaomi.
- Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili; confident when explaining tech-related details.
- Proficient in M-Pesa transactions, POS usage, and basic end-of-day sales reconciliation.
- Presentable, customer-oriented, and energetic with a sales-driven mindset.
- Flexible to work weekends and public holidays as per shift schedules.
- Honest, dependable, and with strong references from previous roles.
