Shop Sales Attendant

Our client, a reputable mobile phone and accessories retailer, is seeking a skilled and customer- oriented Shop Sales Attendant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, a good grasp of mobile technology, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and attend to walk-in customers, ensuring a positive first impression
- Engage customers to understand their needs and recommend the most suitable phones or accessories
- Provide clear, accurate information on product features, differences between models, and pricing
- Complete transactions quickly and accurately using various payment methods
- Promote add-on items such as chargers, protective cases, or headphones to boost sales value
- Handle customer complaints or queries professionally, aiming to resolve them on the spot where possible
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, product displays are neat, and merchandise is attractively arranged
- Participate in stock-taking activities, report slow-moving items, and alert the manager on low stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized sales area, including counters, demo units, and display stands
- Keep up-to-date with new product releases, software updates, and current market trends to advise customers effectively
- Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat business through excellent service and product knowledge
- Actively track and work toward personal and team sales targets, suggesting strategies to improve shop performance
- Remain alert to suspicious behavior and discreetly notify the manager of any potential theft or security concerns
- Assist in promotional setups, product launches, and managing peak traffic during weekends or campaigns
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2–3 years of proven experience in retail sales, preferably in mobile phone or electronics retail
- Excellent verbal communication and persuasive selling skills
- Confident, approachable, and professional in appearance and behavior
- Good knowledge of mobile phones, accessories, and general tech trends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and stay composed in busy retail settings
- Trustworthy, self-driven, and passionate about delivering excellent service
- Must be flexible to work on weekends, holidays, or extended hours when needed
