Job Title: PROCUREMENT INTERN (FEMALE)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Monthly Stipend: Ksh. 20,000
Our client is a fast-growing FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company specializing in B2B supply solutions. They provide high-quality products to businesses across various sectors, ensuring efficiency and reliability in supply chain. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a female Procurement Intern to support their procurement team and gain hands-on experience in the FMCG and B2B sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers for FMCG products, ensuring they meet the company’s standards and pricing requirements.
- Prepare and process Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and ensure timely follow-up with suppliers for order confirmation and delivery schedules.
- Help monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining an optimal inventory to ensure that products are always available without overstocking.
- Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including supplier contracts, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues or delays in the supply chain.
- Conduct research on market trends, suppliers’ performance, and competitor pricing, and assist in preparing regular procurement reports for the team and management.
- Assist in ensuring that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Assist in negotiating supplier prices and terms to ensure procurement processes remain cost-effective without compromising on product quality.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the procurement team in day-to-day tasks.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and inventory management
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with procurement software (preferred)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
